I will invite
a couple of friends for dinner, and I didn`t know what to cook to make a good
impression. I have already bought two bottles of red wine and I found two
recipes, simple to make.
I vote for
the first one, but I`m presenting both of them to let you the possibility of
choice.
1. Chicken with tomatoes and potatoes
Ingredients
1 ½ pounds of
boneless chicken thighs
3 plum
tomatoes, chopped
1 large
potato, peeled and cubed
1 onion
1 garlic
clove
1 teaspoon
olive oil
salt and
black pepper
¾ cup chicken
broth
¼ cup fresh
basil
Preparation
Sprinkle the
chicken with salt and pepper and put them in a large non-stick skillet with
olive oil. Let them about 5 minutes, until brown on both sides. Than add the
onion and garlic thinly sliced. After 5 minutes, add the tomatoes, potatoes and
broth. Reduce the heat, cover and let them cook for 20 minutes. When it’s
ready, remove it from the heat and serve with fresh basil.

2. Beef fried with rice
Ingredients
1 pound beef
3 eggs
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
2 cups long grain rice
2 small onions
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar

Preparation
Put the beef
in a skillet and cook it in medium heat under no longer pink. In a large bowl,
beat eggs and pepper. In another skillet put the olive oil and add the eggs in
it. When eggs are completely cooked, remove them and cut into strips. Return
the eggs in the pan and add all the other ingredients including rice. Let them
cook for 10 minutes in medium heat. Now the meal is ready.
